Detailed Course Content
Legal framework (28 hours)
- The relevant legislation on safety and hygiene at work; contractual regulations concerning safety and health at work; mandatory insurance of industrial accidents and disease;
- European regulations and their value; Standards of Good Practice; Product Directives;
- The Consolidation Act on health and safety in the workplace, with particular reference to the Chapter I. The subjects of the company prevention management: duties, obligations, statutory liability. Methodologies for risk detection, analysis and assessment;
- The legislation on health and safety in temporary or mobile construction sites and in work at height. Chapter IV of the Consolidation Act on health and safety in the workplace;
- The figures involved in building construction: duties, obligations, statutory liability;
- The Framework Law on public works and the main implementation decrees;
- The sanctioning system and the inspection procedures.
Technical framework (32 hours)
- Risks of falling. Scaffoldings and falseworks;
- The safety organization of the construction site. The Gantt chart and Cost/Schedule Control Systems;
- The documentation required to clients, commissioning bodies, contractors, security coordinators;
- Occupational diseases and first aid;
- Electrical risks and protection against lightning;
- Risks in the excavations, in demolition, in underground works and in tunnel construction;
- Risks associated with the use of machinery and work equipment, primarily concerning lifting and carriage equipment;
- Chemical risks in the construction site;
- Physical risks: noise, vibration, microclimate, lighting.
