Learning Objectives

The Industrial Design course aims to offer theoretical and practical knowledge about industrial design and its history, in Italy and abroad, highlighting the cultural and historical context of each object and phenomenon.
The aim of the course is to understand the main design issues both from a technological and functional point of view. It is a question of deepening the aspects of building technology (art/technique), the foundations of the art of configuring, the technological/functional and ergonomic design problems.
It also aims to identify the characteristics of the figure of the designer and the tools that, from time to time, you can use. The course proposes the analysis of theories and products, of motivations and expressed potential, of innovations.
The final objective is the formation of a design attitude sensitive to innovative processes and at the same time critically aware for the development and enhancement of the resources of the territory. it is directed to the design to reach an innovative conception, future and future, of contemporary space. The available resources, materials, matter, can become an interesting field of experimentation in a contemporary sustainability perspective.
